Museum of Imagined Futures (VR)

“The future of our planet is in crisis, but it can be hard to imagine our way toward a better world. Step into The Museum of Imagined Futures, a place where past predictions and future visions are stored.”

The Museum of Imagined Futures is an immersive, VR experience exploring dreams of the future – from humans past and present. The experience blends archive footage, indigenous wisdom and virtual worlds (kelp forests, mycelium networks, green cities) to invite audiences to reflect on their own hopes and desires for the future.

I was brought in to help write and edit the script – bringing Lumi (the museum guide) to life, and shaping the narratives throughout the VR experience.

The Museum of Imagined Futures is an Indigo Storm Production in collaboration with Studio ANRK. It was commissioned and funded by StoryFutures and AHRC as part of the Creative Industries Clusters Programme.

In partnership with BFI and BBC and in collaboration with Unboxed

The Museum of Imagined Futures toured to 15 libraries across the UK and the BFI Imax in Summer 2022.
