Time Odyssey
I was the Lead Writer and Narrative Designer for Time Odyssey – a mobile AR adventure game engaging children with museums and ancient artefacts. The game was created by Arcade, with Art Explora and the British Museum.
In the game, children meet the Watchers of the Warp and help a character return to their own timeline by creating a series of magical items inspired by objects in the museum. Think: storytelling meets ancient artefacts meets digital creativity and imagination!
As part of the project team, I helped develop the characters and story, collaborated on the quest and gameplay mechanics, mapped the narrative design to the physical environments and objects, and wrote the full script (including all character dialogue, narrative cutscenes, kid-friendly learning content and UI).
So far we’ve had brilliant feedback, including positive outcomes for the accessibility of the experience.
